Candidate for
Clinical Director-at-Large
CAMFT Board of Directors
2026-2028

Advancing the profession of marriage and family therapy is at the heart of my work. As an incumbent Clinical Director-at-Large, I am honored to seek re-election to CAMFT’s Board of Directors for the 2026–2027 term. With over two decades serving Fresno and beyond, I bring experience as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, CAMFT Certified Supervisor, agency director, and adjunct professor. My commitment is to strengthen our profession, advocate for members, and ensure access to quality care for all.

As an LMFT, my professional experience is focused on the development and training of marriage and family therapists from the time of being a student through the Associate years to Licensure and beyond. In recent years I have enjoyed the process of training Clinical Supervisors as they come into their own as leaders of the profession. As the Executive Director of Pacific Counseling Center at Fresno Pacific University and Adjunct Professor in the Marriage and Family Therapy program, I understand the academic side of teaching students, the agency side of training therapists, and the administrative side of both.

This foundation has shaped my approach to leadership and advocacy. I have come to understand how influential and critical CAMFT is for MFT’s in California and the nation. CAMFT actively listens and advocates for our profession, influencing legislation at the state and federal levels to advance the profession. They work diligently to educate lawmakers and communicate information to the membership. California has the largest number of MFT’s in the country, and the strength of our profession is directly connected to the efforts of CAMFT.

During my first term, I helped shape CAMFT’s strategic plan, ensuring it addressed cultural shifts and access challenges for therapists and our clientele. The plan is ambitious. It recognizes the importance of maintaining strong guidelines for the profession, the challenges that therapists face as they do the work of therapy, and the cultural changes that impact delivery and access to services. Each of the points in the strategic plan have real-life impact on therapists. If elected to the Board, I will continue to advocate for the wellbeing of our membership.

One of the joys of being a Clinical Director-at-Large is the opportunity to engage in conversation with members from all over the state and learn about their experiences – their victories and challenges. These interactions inform the conversations around the Board table. If elected to the Board, I invite members to reach out and tell me about your experiences. While I am from the Central Valley, as a Board member I seek to be informed and represent the interests of the broader membership. Your insights matter – please share your experiences so we can shape the future together.

Advancing the profession of marriage and family therapy is my passion, and I am honored to seek re-election as a Clinical Director-at-Large on CAMFT’s Board of Directors. I appreciate your vote.
